What have you done to your non Triumph today

I rode it for a week, yes, it was definitely a “do everything well” type of a bike and very easy to ride. It wouldn’t be my dream bike however there was nothing wrong with it at all and they’re definitely extremely popular (for good reason, I would think). I found the brakes a bit lacking, however I believe they’re better on the newer model from what I have heard? Here is what I said about it… A week in Gran Canaria

Ta, the new model now has dual discs up front.

Thought I had read that, good update I think.

I haven’t ridden one but the NC750 has a low revving engine which people say takes a bit of getting used to if you are used to using the full rev range of a modern bike engine.

Definitely worth testing first.

It does, I kept wringing it out and redlining it!!

Yes, I’m aware of all the reviews saying this but I’m not someone who has owned or ridden high revving bikes. My Trophy tops out at 9500 (I think) and previous to them the T300 900’s had the same rev limit. Previous to them my BMW R series airheads topped out around 7,000. My Enfield tops out around 7,000 and I’ve never hit it’s rev limiter. So I reckon if anyone is going to be happy with a low revving twin, it’s me. :crossed_fingers:

Actually I think I’m more concerned about the LCD dash. I hated the one in my old citroen car. I just couldn’t hold a steady speed and was forever having to adjust. I’ve never had a bike with a LCD dash always a normal speedo. I think I’m a luddite!

I would imagine for touring two - up and camping it would be just the ticket, it was certainly well balanced and very comfortable. A very easy, relaxing ride. Some of the newer colours are pretty nice too; we saw some in Fowlers the other week.

That said…if you’re attached to the Trophy and the Enfield is lots of fun…it’s a wrench…

Unfortunately Grafton only had the orange colour on the 2025 bikes, which looked red(!) and ok until I took my sunglasses off and then, um no thanks. I’d like to see the black or the green versions as I have no interest in the white one.
Just sitting on it and tilting it to each side it seemed well balanced and reminded me of the weight distribution of my old airheads instead of my very top heavy Trophy.

The balance was nice - I had a “moment” where I stopped and didn’t look where my foot would be going - it was a slope into a storm drain and I had a bit of frantically trying to swap to the other foot, which I managed, with a few palpitations and both legs flying from side to side :flushed:. There’s no way I would have kept a top heavy bike upright!!

That’s always a problem for us with shorter legs. As I’ve aged apparently I’ve shrunk even more, although everybody seems to say it’s your spine that shrinks I reckon it’s mainly my legs. I’ve cut some foam out of my Trophys seat to help with something that was never a problem 20-odd years ago!

I got out early on the Hyperstrada and went to The Pitstop Cafe at The Danery for a coffee. Still a bit chilly this morning, but absolutely gorgeous sunshine.

I see you kept your distance from those Harley “bad boys” :joy:

Today, I pretty much sat and cried (figuratively) as a real belter of a day passed me by. I’m not allowed to drive/ride due to an episode of cardiac syncope, and it’s driving me crackers(er).

First trip to the van this week, great ride over via the A684 through Hawes and on to Ingleton. Sunny apart from Friday but a few cheeky beers in Lancaster kept me happy. First trip up to Windermere and Silverdale this morning.
