Well I think it looks ok with the screen back on. However the orange mount looks awful, needs some black paint mate.

On sunday we rode the Honda and I started to struggle to see the dashboard small indications (for a while, but that time I found it particularly painful).
Today I had to run an errant and for the first time of my life rode the bike with glasses !!
It took me a few minutes to put the glasses correctly with the helmet, almost forgot to remove the glasses before removing the helmet.. I need to get used to that, but now, I will ride with the glasses. I admit it’s much better.
Thinking about getting some sport glasses. Any feedback welcome, I’m new on getting old

I’ve ridden with contact lenses for coming on 50 years now - works a treat!

See, your mother was right, you will go blind

Don’t worry: it only gets worse…

I’ve always worn glasses (or contacts) on the bike as I’m short-sighted. In the past my tip would have been to choose frames that aren’t too thick so they slip in to the helmet easily. These days some helmets are designed to allow a bit of space so that’s another option.

Were you wearing them when you typed that ….

Now I understand what you mean. Actually I’ve got glasses a bit similar to Jeffrey Damer’s one  So a bit too big for the helmet. Gonna visit the optician soon to check some “sport” glasses.

I have bi-focals and ordered a pair solely for riding the bike - these have slim metal frames and legs, and with a flip-front helmet which has “slots” for specs, they slip on and off easily.

I still occasionally forget to take my glasses off before the helmet though…

My Shoei neortec 2 has slots for my glasses, which makes it easy to get them on. Like most people I guess I sometimes forget to take them off before removing my helmet. Of course in my case it won’t come off until I have removed my glasses. lol

Out twice in 1 week, there must be something wrong with me…

Off to Elan Valley today, the water’s still low, but it’s been lower at this time of year before so I guess the Welsh rain will fill the reservoirs up over the winter.

Storm Amy had passed, so I headed off to Knockhill for the finals of the Scottish club racing series - the photos might have some motion blur, but you get the idea! Last photo is the sidecars presentation… these guys really are crazy!

We were talking this weekend about getting up to Knockhill for BSB next year. Looks like a nice circuit.

They’ve been working hard for a good few years, improving facilities and track layout. It’s a short track which riders seem to enjoy, and you can walk right round to view from any point on the track.

Worth a visit… but I would say that!
