84 miles for me; just a little jaunt out this afternoon. I roughly did the route below with some little extra bits here and there.
If only I were still that slim…
I’ve been daydreaming and contemplating changing the 1050 RS for a 1200 RR with a flat bar conversion…!
And interestingly some of the prices for the RR and the 1050 RS on the secondhand market have grown ever closer….
Glasgow bike night - plenty of interesting motorbikes, a good band too, but it was so wet on the way home, I was soaked!
Why though? Yer happy with your Speedy, the grass ain’t greener…
You’re absolutely right, but sometimes you need a change up. I do love the RS.
Usually I tend to change my bikes every 2-3 years. I’ve had the RS for 5 years now and that confirms how much I do like it.
It is a stunning bit of kit…
I just went on the Triumph web page and specced one up new for a giggle and the on the road price is £18k…… I bet they aren’t selling many at that price…!
Yuh can’t tek brass wi ye!
But you will build up a memories store if you throw the dice!!!
and still got that long blond hair…
I know the place. Didn’t know they had a bike night.
I only found out about it when I bought my Speed 400 from West Coast Triumph.
My wee Triumph even snuck into one of West Coast Harley Davidson’s many Facebook photos!
Or just wait for Triumph to get round to adding semi-active suspension to the RS. Bound to happen eventually (more use than the endless “special edition” paint jobs).
Bloody 'ell that’s more expensive than a B*W
Better looking though
I’d buy one if they put the semi-active suspension on it and fixed the electronics.
With the nice weather I had a hankering to head to Yorkshire Dales for a couple of nights, but thought better of it as it’s holiday season and a sunny Sunday to boot, so probably rammed with tourists and short on accommodation options.
Instead I stayed nearer home but still managed to do 140 miles over 6 hours on quiet country lanes, with lots of single-track roads by fields around Grantham and Lincoln area. Managed to find quite a few new-to-me roads too.
Extremes meet - out with my cousin’s husband on his BMW S1000R, 165bhp v 40bhp, but not such a big difference on 114 miles of twisty A-roads!
Fantastic day!
Had a shortish ride with my next door neighbour today. Had to keep it short as I had 650 miles on the bike. Now sitting on 705 miles after our trip to Ma Bakers via Nantwich and back up the A49 to J&S super store. Bike due first service on 3rd August.
Ma Bakers/Mid Way was very busy. Had a chat to a couple of guys in American cars.
J&S was also very busy.
Looking good Steve! Enjoying yer Tiger?
Yep the tiger was tucked in car park to the left of Ma Bakers. I’m really enjoying the bike, which is comfortable and has that uplift in power that I was looking for over the 660.
How is the wife mate ?
