What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Not raining, not cold. So out and about on the Scrambler.

The nice weather caught me by surprise this morning so I had to go rummaging in Mrs Mouse’s sewing pile to find my riding jeans which were waiting for some belt loop fixes. I couldn’t be arsed with faffing around re-fitting the armour as they probably won’t be used again this year.

Last week I put the pinlock in my visor, which spoils somewhat the view of the countryside, so I decided to opt for the open face with goggles. Glad I’d did as it was warm and pleasant enough that it felt like that first nice day of spring. Except that the leaves had started to fall, which with the overnight dampness meant extra caution was required in shade and on corners.

Had a very pleasant day using up a tank full of petrol riding around the countryside.

Today I fitted a rad guard to the Trident which was sent to me by @Joe . The little rubber grommets were missing, so I made some up from a strip of rubber I had lying about. Looks pretty neat!

The only thing that annoyed me was that inspite of the item being sent as a gift, I was made to pay VAT and duty on it. Every parcel sent from the UK to the EU is being treated as commercial. No fault of Joe’s obviously. Thanks Brexit! :rage:

@Vulpes That looks really good on there. Glad it went to a good home. So sorry for the rip of postage. I have wrote to them in complaint but they didn’t even have the courtesy to reply as yet anyway.

Just glad you were able to straighten it up and make use from it. The couldn’t even do that correctly. I believe i even put fragile on the package. But it looks good on your bike and you are happy so that’s reward enough for me. Take care of your self and enjoy that 660

It did say fragile on the parcel, Joe. Still pretty wrangled when it got to me. All fixed though, I’m grateful mate! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I wanted to check out a new to me bonsai nursery, so took the Tiger on a 120 mile round trip. Got some starter trees and supplies. A bit wet on the outbound journey, nice and dry on the way back.

They do look good. Probably too high maintenance for me though - I struggle to keep a cactus alive.

The parcel I was waiting for this morning arrived around 11am, just in time for the sun to come out, so thought I’d pop out on my bike for lunch. Looking at the area I was interested in on Google maps I found somewhere random to eat, turned out the place was OK

On way I had an hour or so on warm sunny autumn roads.

On way back it turned a bit grey as I neared home, so think I made the most of what was going.

I put the Speed Twin on SORN today, so that’s now tucked up for the winter

I’ll keep using the 400 Scrambler though when weather and temperature permit.

Looks like you’re hunting for easy wins in the “lattice-frame-off” championships!
Nice pic though

Today I squeezed the RS brake lever really hard as I’ve not ridden it in weeks or possibly months…

Again taking advantage of the nice weather.

On my ride the odometer hit 5000 kilometres. Not too bad considering the circumstances and only 4,5 months of ownership…

Not today, but Sunday. I called at J&S Superstore in Delamere and there was a professional photographer on the road as I rode in. Couldn’t resist buying a copy. :slightly_smiling_face:
