What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

I get compliments when I stop for horses too - even when on an ugly adventure bike! :winking_face_with_tongue: but seriously - kudos for stopping for horses. Having ridden for decades myself I know how much that’s appreciated.

Tell that to @Hubaxe:joy::rofl:

Invalid carriages don’t count. Anyway, not all bikes with automatic clutches are adventure bikes. (Though I can’t see me on a Honda Rebel, or Hornet etc).

You all laugh about that because you never tried one :slightly_smiling_face:

Automatic clutch is not enough, don’t go half way, try the full automatic :+1:
And no the NT1100 is not an adventure bike (despite being, frame, engine, and lots of parts from the Africa Twin).

Seriously, if like me you’ll have to choose between “not able to ride more than a couple of hours”, or “still traveling on an automatic bike” go and try that Honda :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d certainly be doing whatever it takes, when I know the outcome of my situation. Hopefully it will be biking as normal, but to me Honda’s E-Clutch seems to be the best idea to free up the clutch hand. It’s literally just a normal cable operated clutch lever with a computer controlled servo attached to do it automatically, and presumably if it fails you still have a working bike. Also means if you want you choose gears manually you carry on using your foot, rather than buttons on your left fingers like the DCT system.

As I had the bike I had to frequently change the gears with the buttons to learn the machine how I’d like it behaves. Now I don’t need to, or just to drop a gear to overpass.

The computer learned and now it’s really fluid.

But yes the e-clutch could have been an option for me.

On the Africa Twin there is a kit to electronically switch gears with the foot lever instead of the left hand buttons ..

Fitted my new Givi touring screen ready for our ride to Eire next Friday. It looks rather ungainly, but works very well, much quieter at 60mph.

Took the Scrambler to Oasis first bike night of the year. Good turn out

I was in a group of about 10 supporting my mate as his good pal was driven there in a car as he has terminal cancer and thought this would be the last time he could get there :confused:Hence the group ride.

He seemed to enjoy it :slightly_smiling_face:

I already went out for a bike ride this week on Monday but the weather today was too nice not to go out again for a few hours.

Air temperature was only just into double digits so had my thermals and scarf on to keep the chill out.

Nice little run up to Haweswater in beautiful sunshine.

Heard a unpleasant noise riding the Triumph today, coming from the front wheel.

Looks like I’m in for a wheel ball bearing change.
