What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

It would have been sacrilege to miss a fine warm weather day. Out with a mate on his new Honda NC750 around South Gloucestershire. Lots of Bluebells complete with influencers.

Pleasant ride around Stroud and Dursley. On to Kendleshire Golf Club (https://kendleshire.com/) Near Coalpit Heath for lunch. Many people with batting sticks, A quick visit to Ram Hill Colliery to look at the ruins and then home.

The Honda at 700miles is not a happy one. Random illumination of Engine Management Light and Low oil Pressure Light. Local dealers (Fowlers) not very helpful as the earliest they can look at it is May 5th.

That’s a bit pants for a Honda!

but about right for Fowler’s

Your friend should contact Honda UK directly. It’s not normal the dealer can’t prioritize that. If someone from Honda Japan read that, sure one of them is already in the plane to save the brand reputation

Took the Bonneville to collect my first Bike & Brew Passport stamps. Monkey Pot cafe near Selby and Strawberry Fields cafe on the way back to York :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I like Strawberry Fields fry-ups. In fact, I need to try one again soon.

The mrs. was in need of some horsie stuff, so we took the bikes for the first joint ride of the year.

The Monkey Pot one was pretty good - you can choose from “Chimp, Gorilla or King Kong” depending on your appetite

Managed to find a front and rear set of Triumph Led indicators on ebay for about a third of the original price. Definite improvement over stock and a quick “plug and play” fitment

Just to prove it happened….

Been out on the Beemer 2-up a number of times so far this year, but this is the first time out solo on the Triumphs since my new “go faster” Aortic valve fitting last October…. the grin is back.

I hope it all was a good experience??? (The operation) good to see you back out there!

The plumbing job all went well, but as often the case electronics let me down. Happened the afternoon before discharge (fortunately), a bit dead for a minute or two, a day later and probably would’ve been a bit permanent. :grimacing:

Anyhow, traumatic story short, that evening I gained a chip on my shoulder :slightly_smiling_face: , otherwise known as a pacemaker.

(Am I right in thinking you’re waiting for a new valve?)

Yeah, next couple of month hopefully! There was talk of a portion of the aortic root too, but that seems less likely now. They’ve an errant electrical component to find and kill off too… otherwise I’ll have a black box too.

Did they stick an On-x in? Or were you able to have a Tavi procedure? Just wondering about how long the chest needs to feel comfortable, (I think the 6 month before drive/ride is a standard requirement isn’t it? So you may have felt able to earlier on???)
Sorry for the rush of questions, answer privately if you’d rather not publicise your details… or leave it if you would rather not talk about it!

Glad you didn’t stay dead though!!!

If Saul shuffles these into a new thread I’ll add to the tale. :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:
