What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Brilliant little blast on the street triple this morning… i even seen 12° on the dash at one point :sunny: only done a wee 50 miler but I had a hoot for every one of them and the bike seemed to pop into unicycle mode coming out of most corners. Light bikes rule, I fecking love street triples!

Probably all that weight over the back wheel helped

Awaiting spares, so thought…

…I’d remove the ethanol damaged paint from the Tiger’s tank. These are pretty good at getting paint etc off. Noisy and dusty though.

Bye, bye tiger. Took hours to do that design and seconds to remove.

Think I’ll go traditional flames for a display tank on the wall as I’ve ordered another tank as this one has always been dented.

What about cutting and welding the flames, cor…

…takes a bit longer than I thought. But ok keep going.

Bit by bit

Last few

Until all the way round.

Then prime and paint black

And wipe on alluminium paint with a rag.

Yes, probably best hanging on the wall but just gotta paint the colours and rust on now. :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you…over…

Gave bike a proper clean today, even broke out the wax. Hopefully now spring has sprung they’ll be enough dry riding days to chose from for my two-wheeled fix to keep bike clean for a while.

I have just spent some time cleaning bits of pheasant off my Striple’s radiator guard with plenty of patience and a soft, short - bristled brush and cooked bits of pheasant off the headers. Had a very through look at the bike and my assessment of one tiny crack yesterday being the only harm done seems to be correct :crossed_fingers:.

You get all the best jobs :joy:

To be fair, I covered my bike in pheasant guts, so only fair that I should clean it up . I am just relieved that I seem to have got off very lightly; hats off to Evotech for their radiator guard quality (although the hexagonal shapes aren’t the easiest to get flesh out of :grimacing:).

Sounds like your’re riding a BBQ!

Not any more :grimacing:. Smelt terrible when I was stopped in traffic yesterday .

Got a few more miles in this morning, 150ish around the beautiful glens before the rain is due. Only stopped the once.

I put another 50 miles on the tiger today. Only a short ride as me and the wife were off to eldest son for Easter dinner :slightly_smiling_face:

Painted the tank. Frankenstein style. :troll: So welded some more stitches on.

Good job I’ve ordered a new tank - this one will live on the shelf alongside the SS helmets :military_helmet:

Amazing work. Curious, how long did it take you to tape up the stitches before applying the red paint?

Today I rode over to Queensferry to Triumph Chester to get the top box fitted and satnav mount wired to the ignition. Been here an hour already, looking forward to the ride home and a pint in my local. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m having a dedicated evotech bracket for my sat nav fitted behind the windscreen, so it will sit just above the TFT display. They’ll wire it in for me, too.

I put one of those on my Multistrada. Ducati conveniently leave a couple of fly leads in the fairing to make wiring it up easy. Only issue was the vibrations could blur the display sometimes.

I’ll be hoping the triple will run a bit smoother than the V4 then…

Worse, it was a V2.. Let us know how well it works, I’d be curious in case I end up with another one, which is a possibility at this point.
