What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Steve - just used a brush and a rag, no masking required :slightly_smiling_face:

I think it will be fine up there. On the 900 I just bought a mirror mount from UltimateAdditions and attached it to the bar you use for adjusting the screen height so that I could attach my phone (which I use for nav). I thought it might be too flimsy but actually it works fine with no vibrations.

Looks good!

Thanks for that, I did wonder. Class job anyway :slightly_smiling_face:

I fitted one of those on my 900.
Puts the satnav in the right place.
No vibration issues with mine.

It sounds like the bird you hit was definitely a pterodactyl!?

Oh it was at LEAST that big .

Last night was the first bike night at HR4K - I went on my Street Triple and Helmut the Tuono. Weather was thankfully great (chilly on the ride home though!), turn out really good and quite a few good people we knew there so it was a really pleasant night. They’re going to be held monthly, which I think is about right. I still hate riding in and out of these things though :flushed:. I didn’t take any photos I am afraid so have stolen a few of someone else’s.

Breakfast at Saltburn by the Sea sat in the sun.
No photos as I’ve posted lots from here before.

Took a ride up the coast passed Redcar to South Gare Breakwater. I posted pics before in the rideout section of the partially demolished blast furnace. It looks more like some dystopian landscape than ever now.

The breakwater is a completely manmade structure using concrete and 5 million tons of slag waste from the iron works, built between 1861 and 1864.

The original gun emplacements can still be seen but the WW2 anti aircraft and mortar batteries have been partially demolished. There are a number of pillboxes along the coast.

This is Paddy’s Hole, a safe harbour for fishing boats and some (probably unauthorised) self made dwellings!

The South Gare Marine Club is based within the former submarine mine base. The fortified walls date from 1890 but the pillbox is from WW2.

The mount works well - there is some flex in it, but no vibrations. I’m happy with it.

Put another 130 miles on Tigger today. Murky and a bit nippy at 9C, so put the heated seat and grips to good use.

Good for rubbing in new tyres…

Finally some signs of spring, so I took the Thunderbird out to wash off the dust from winter storage. No time for the first ride today, but next week-!
