What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Well to be fair it has been battered beyond all recognition.

Well at least it hasn’t been worsened.

No idea what you mean…

New glasses arriving next week.

The view was pretty good too - Seahouses harbour :sunglasses:

According to the forecast, this is the last day of the excellent weather we’ve been enjoying. Be rude not to take advantage… sorry boss :grimacing:

The view without the bike (Whitepark bay)

By the way, just a reminder when it does rain, the roads will be extra greasy after such a long dry spell!

@Andyc1 I love that coastline, it’s so scenic. It must be brilliant to ride along it with those views.

Not sure what it is like for you, but here we have had a thick layer of tree sap collecting and, when it rained heavily last weekend, that turned very slippery indeed as well as the general greasiness it brought to the roads after such gorgeous weather.

Much the same here regarding road conditions, we haven’t seen rain in easily 4 weeks, possibly more, I actually can’t remember when it last rained.
The Antrim coast road is stunning, this time of year it gets busy though. If you hit early, or during the week it’s still enjoyable. Traffic was not an issue today :grinning: I need to do some tyre shopping now, those supercorsas have just about had it.

You going for the same tyres again?

No they came with the bike but I changed them as soon as I got it for a Scotland tour, then put them back on. I love them, the way they turn in and handle but the milage is poor. I like to keep trying different tyres, I haven’t tried the Michelin power 5’s yet which I am thinking of getting. They’re still a sporty oriented tyre, but not as extreme as the supercorsas, so should last a little bit longer.

Went for a bimble on the tiger today. Called in at J&S on my way home. Quite a few folk out and about. :slightly_smiling_face:

Helmut and I were going to have a full day out on the bikes today, but it rained heavily for hours this morning so we went out just before 1200 (me on the Street Triple, him on the Tuono) and went to the Oily Rag in Gloucester for a mooch, then Completely Motorbikes for another mooch and onto the airport for something to eat. There was a Hurricane there, which was nice to see.

We then made our way back home, getting a pretty good soaking on the way :person_facepalming: but did see the Hurricane again, passing over us and then seeing a little bit of the event flypast it was doing - very nice.

We stopped for fuel and a man who talked to me when Helmut was paying was very impressed with my 1050cc Speed until I said it was the 765cc Street. At which point he was unimpressed but did say “well, it does still sound very nice, even if it isn’t much”.

Snotty git.

What a charmer. If he wasn’t impressed by your Street Triple that just means he’s never ridden one!

I don’t care one bit what people think of my bikes if I am honest, I never understand why people get upset when people don’t like the look of their bikes or the engine size; I love them and that is what matters - there are enough models to suit all tastes :+1:. Just amuses me that someone thinks it matters - the bloke to the left said “nice bike”.

I had a 1050 speed, a 2016 before it got upgraded to 150PS, think mine was in the 130’s. My 765 is a faster bike due to it being about 20kg lighter and not much down on power. And of course it breaks better and turns faster too, more fun too!

He was the “size matters” sort I think . He had a 1783cc bike, 10 years old looked like new with very low mileage apparently. I refrained from saying I bought mine to ride :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: as actually he was a pleasant and friendly person, just not impressed by my “little” bike. I am also asking any bike to carry probably 65 - 70kg less than he was, which is a fair difference.

Probably a tiny d@ck then. Pfff…

Duck ?
