Had a lovely day riding quiet country lanes in my new open face helmet, felt great! 
With the cheap riding sunglasses I’d bought it was even comfortable on the odd fast road without the visor down.
Eyes were rather watery and itchy but I put that down to hay-fever because even though I ended up double dosing on anti-histamines my nose was still streaming. Of course these effects could well have been exacerbated by face being exposed to the wind.
One factor that occurred to me whilst riding was factor 50, i.e. if this helmet is for sunny summer days then I need to think about protection from the sun!
Another thing that was noticeable with an open face helmet was how easy it is to do shoulder checks and turn head a junctions without having a chin bar hitting shoulders.

Please tell me the cheap glasses are shatter proof
Glasses like these are shatterproof and have foam “draught-excluders”… I’ve not tried these, I wear my Oakleys that I’ve had for 14 years (they’re ready for replacement lenses now)

My glasses from an Amazon seller look just like those. Claim to be shatterproof and for motorcycles. They are branded on the glasses as ‘Global Vision’ an American company, but the seller appears to be UK sole trader from the Amazon listing.

One of those look like it came from the same mould in a Chinese factory as the ones I have, just with a different logo printed on the side

Doing one of house sits again up in Northumberland near Alnwick. Here until the 6th July. Just me and the bike for now, wife coming up on Sunday, what will I do?
