What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Let’s hope!! :crossed_fingers:. Helmut and I were saying the other day though that the bird population this year round here seems huge (although missing two of it’s number currently purely down to us…).

Yep, feathers everywhere!!!

I had a pigeon hit a mirror after bouncing off the windscreen of a lorry I was overtaking.

I’ve also hit a tiny gosling as it was running after it’s mother across the road. Was doing about 50mph and in the second or two I had to think realised I couldn’t predict trajectories well enough to try any evasive manoeuvrers and as it wasn’t a threat to me I just left things to chance. Still brought a tear to my eye when I felt a tiny thump on my footpeg and saw a tumbling gosling in my mirror.

A little gosling would have upset me too.

Took a local ride out today. It was bloody hot! So stopped off in a shady spot for a break.

Saw a swan

While a bit of warmth and sunshine is welcome, it’s overdoing it at the moment: 28 degrees here at home today, which is definitely too hot for me. Perhaps I am too used to Scotland’s generally cool grey climate to enjoy all this heat and glare.

Anything above 20 is getting too warm for me

The hotter the better for me…

I don’t actually mind the hot weather, but once it gets to high 20’s it’s too stifling with all the riding gear on. I’d even removed the thermal liner from the jacket!

Well, it was 34C here today - riding to the office this morning was lovely, not so much getting back in the afternoon!

It’s good you went to make your own opinion. I didn’t put too many attention on the “kind of nazi” costume, as it was an outfit from “The Wall” and can be explained artistically. For all other points I’ll join Vulpes on his statement.

It was a bit cooler this morning at mid-20’s rather than the high 20’s of yesterday. It’s amazing how much difference that makes to riding comfort.

It was therefore the Speed Twin’s turn today. With a few miles on it now I’m able to explore further up the rev range. At 5k rpm it pulls really hard - faster than I would have expected from 99hp :+1:

A nice, tranquil spot for sitting in the shade and taking a break.

Commute for the Street Triple today, lovely baking hot day for it :slightly_smiling_face:. There were huge patches of gravel all over the road this morning after last nights’ storms, but I know the road well enough to anticipate where they’ll be so not such big deal although far from welcome. At least they had tyre tracks through them for the way home after a day’s traffic activity.

Another lovely, sunny day here as well. We had very little rain. Unfortunately none of that mattered as I must’ve slept awkwardly on Sunday night and can’t ride with a stiff nexk. I had yesterday afternoon off, as well. Should be fine in a couple of days but bloody typical.

Lovely evening here too, just got cool enough and the temptation was strong for a little ride. Had to stop to get a pic of that sky!

That Bonnie is just gorgeous (the sky too…) !

I took the Tiger to work this morning - still scorching hot here (33C), but with a mesh jacket just doable.

Remember when they used to be sports injuries :joy:

Pah!
Can just imagine Bagnaia trying that one on Tardozzi when he turns up for FP1  :joy:

Yeah, and the older I get the faster I was.
