How many know (or remember) Rubik’s cube?
As I was a child (and sick), my parents always bought me one.
Developing thinking?

How much harder is the 7x7x7 than the 3x3x3?
I did master the cube back in the day, not sure I could still do it today though. I still have a cube in it’s original packaging, just a bit of nostalgia
It’s a whole new thing. Nobody do 7x7x7 in some 20 seconds or even less. But again; you need to start from the “centers” and try to move on … there are also internet forums and you can ask for general tips.
But that 7x7x7 isn’t the most challenging out there. Let’s remember that it has normal 6 sides (like a normal cube 3x3x3). I have cubes with more sides. I “hate” those 12 sides cubes, especially the biggest one. With them you have to “do” both sides (up and down) somehow at the same time… and we humans have only two eyes :).
I’ve been playing cubes for probably 16-17 years … my hands are getting pretty fast. Sometimes I spend my time with them (if I’m sitting on the train, waiting at the airport, etc.) and the little kids will watch it.
I can do the standard and simple cubes, your brain is wired different to do those complex ones… hats off to you!
I might have some “gifts”
(seeing things in three dimensions) … but still very limited vs. the best out there.
Meaning: I would never ever get finish anything like this (21x21x21) cube
Knowing that, it is better not to even try it :).
I may have to dig the cube out, see if I remember…
I feel this is a good time to remind everyone about this post from a couple of years ago.
Our son’s godfather held the speed record sometime for France. It was around 13 seconds ! Now when we meet the only cubes we consider are iced and droped in spririts.
