If you can make a good enough case for it being related to motorcycles…
Just finished building myself a computer for photo editing, ain’t giving Apple 5+k for something I can build myself for way less than half that! First time building one and it was easy, I urge anyone to give it a go if they need a powerful computer.
I heard processors were in short supply
I had a hard job getting the graphics card, that was a few months ago when crypto miners were hoarding them. I think the situation is returning to normal now. The CPU’s were thin on the ground right enough but not too hard to find one, only bought that last week.
I looked it up - It’s a Cossack Dnieper built in Kiev, Ukraine. There’s a thing.
Was also having a look at the Cromwell’s capabilities and saw this -
“a troop of three Cromwells was able to leap a 20 ft (6.1 m) wide canal when surprised by enemy forces”
they were pretty fast then, blimey the Dukes of Hazard of the WWII tank world.
A fishermans cottage on the North Antrim coast this morning. Thats Kinbane Head (left), Fair Head (right), Rathlin Island (center left), and Scotland just visible in the distance. Not sure it will be visible after the upload.
Another stunning picture Andy
I re-edited it, this better captures the atmosphere and conditions at the time. It was 30mins before sunrise… Blue hour.
Can’ See it mate, I think you posted before it fully uploaded…
We’re on a temporary mini wifi hub, bloody useless
Looking forward to seeing the piccy when you can!
Can’t beat a good dog piccy!
Yesterday, we went seal spotting at Blakeney Point. The guide was informative about the local history, boats, wildlife and geology. One of the more interesting boats was this old life boat from the early 1800’s.
This teak hulled boat would have been rowed by 20 men in all kinds of foul weather. it’s not the old local one, but is similar to what would have been housed in the old lifeboat station (which has been restored). The houseboat attachment looks a bit shit to my eyes… but each to his own.
There was another decommissioned lifeboat and a couple of interesting barges… but we were there for the Labradors of the sea!
Smashing, we went to North Walsham last October as Mrs W’s mother was from there and we found a cottage that would take 5 dogs.
Yes, although it’ll keep the new owner dry I wouldn’t have stuck my shed on it. Maybe it’s to keep the ol’lady away from poking about in there. My dad told me to always have two wallets, one for the wife.
Isn’t the middle boat/ship/yacht/schooner a Thames barge?
You can obviously tell I’m an old Tar. Yeah right…
Looks like you got quite close to the seals, do they smell of fish? I can tell you Lions don’t smell of Springboks. They smell of poo…
They are all very similar designs… Dutch barges, Thames Barges etc. Flat bottomed so they sit on the silt without damage when the tide is out… I think the pictured one is very similar to this…
Edit - it is it… there’s a video of it sailing too.
