When you boil the egg, make sure a part of the shell sticks out of the water, this allows the air to escape and separates the egg from the inside of the shell, same principle as pricking the end, it is bloody annoying especially if you’re pickling eggs and you want them to look tidy.

Had an email from Homebase recently advising of their latest bargains. One of which was if you buy two 2.5 litre tins of Farrow and Ball paint they will only cost £90.
For half the price you get twice as much Dulux from Homebase.
I guess they must have a staff rule not to openly laugh at customers purchasing F&B paint.

not the game itself, but all the stuff around.
My daughter had to face racists comments as France won like "racist anti white referee, black team, etc… " insane. France is a former colonial country, My own family is issue from those colony (Reunion Island).
My daughter leaves in UK for now 7 years, and is perfectly happy there, and she’s not even a football fan. That game can drive people nut, or just unleash the worst of them.
And wait for Wednesday France-Maroc game… football will not be the main subject, whatever the winner is.

Most of the abuse always comes via social media from low life who wouldn’t have the courage to say it to someone’s face

It’s the tribalistic nature of complete morons that’s brought out by football. I’m not against the game - it is just kicking a ball about, after all, but it does seem to bring out the worst behaviour in some people.
A friend of mine was saying that a regular in his coffee shop was suggesting that players shoud just suck up the abuse because they’re paid enough for it. That is just downright racism in sheeps clothing.

This yanks my chain. Not the proposed apology itself, that’s neither here nor there for me.
It’s the fact that certain groups are now complaining the timing is wrong, and that they have had no say in how the apology is to be worded. They have compiled a list of demands, and if these are not met to them the apology will be void.
What value has an apology when the wording is dictated by the very people you’re attempting to apologise to?
It looks to me an attempt at extorting compensation is made.

That’s exactly right. It’s not the nation, it’s the people. Every country has it’s share of decent people, corrupt politicians, philanthropists, racists etc etc. There’s good and bad in every country and every city. It’s how each person treats the others around them that matters, and that’s our individual responsibility…

What yanks my chain is all these adverts you get on certain TV channels from the WWF asking for just £3 per month to save the tigers or the gorilla’s or the rhino’s or the effalumps. You could easily end up spending a fortune. Now, if they asked for £3 a month to shoot a poacher I would gladly set up a direct debit in a flash.
