Today I have mostly been

years ago, professional trip around Paris. the rental cie gave me a brand new Fiat Multipla with less than a hundred km on the tacho.
Let’s drive that ugly funny car. Take the motorway, open the window, and see in the side mirror the door rubber seal flying away

Agreed; I drive a Peugeot for work sometimes and do not like the small steering wheel.

Went looking for these today after they were promoted by a female strong woman comp. Last year

Did you attempt the unassisted lift? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

You know I was going to.
Only.
The thing is.
I wanted to.
I was confident.
They were padlocked in case someone tried to steal em. Go figure. :grinning:
You can see it in the picture.

Drying off my biking gear and cleaning the bike after yesterday’s trip to Knockhill for the British Superbikes.

Racing started at 2pm, rain started at 2.07pm and just wouldn’t stop! Where I was sheltering I had a good laugh with other bikers, but it was a very wet ride home…

Today I’ve been dreaming of European travels and the Alps.

Well, I’ve been doing that for several days already as I go through trying to piece together the route of the recent trip. The urge to go back got so strong that I got a bad case of carpe diem and so spent all morning in front of a computer to make it happen.

I’ve just bought ferry tickets for 2 weeks at start of September.

Before that I did the endless bureaucracy to switch phone provider so hopefully I have ability to make phone calls when I’m away. On last trip I only had mobile data, not phone or text when I should have had. And as this time I’ll be flying solo a working phone is essential.

I’ve also bought annual breakdown cover that was due to expire soon and included European cover in that as it’s cheaper than a single trip cover.

Just need to get travel insurance now, but it’s sunny outside and I need a break. So a walk to the pub with Mrs Mouse seems in order… :beers:

Thinking up conspiracy theories for past TV stars.

I thought Michael Parkinson was “ Brown bread” as they say darn in London.
In fact he may be dodging his past celebrity lifestyle and has retired to Crete. He’s not brown bread he’s just Brown….

Isn’t that Rita Fairclough?

Has anyone ever just rocked up on a bike for the ferry at Calais on the off chance? Part of me wants to try it.

Why use the ferry when the train is much quicker and easier?

If your road pass near Aix-Les-Bains let me know.

Price probably. The eurotunnel is fast an easy but way more expensive. And the boat trip is somehow enjoyable

Today I took my Street Triple for its annual service and its first MOT :astonished:. I used Triumph Tech at Halfpenny Green Airport again for the service, it’s 50 miles or so on mostly enjoyable roads to ride from home and best of all only fell prey to the merest small drop of rain :slightly_smiling_face:. Helmut accompanied me on the Multistrada.

Is that your area? I wasn’t too far (200km) from there a couple of weeks ago. It was where we got stranded for 3 days waiting for my mates bike to get a new tyre.

For my solo trip I haven’t decided where I’m going but I have 8 nights in the Alps area, so Aix-Les-Bains could certainly fit into a route
