Today I have mostly been

Not today but yesterday I enjoyed a day with Saul at the BSB at Oulton Park. A very wet day where racing was delayed by over an hour. Once it did get started it was brilliant.

…trying not to look at tiling that needs doing in the bathroom. Storms coming so l think catching a few rays is in order today and tomorrow. Baby went home last night so a bit of peace before the other one arrives on Wednesday :astonished:

Painting the garage doors as the weather is spot on today after a very misty start. After sanding and washing I went to get some stuff for the stove, the views dropping into Ulverston were lovely

I’ve got pictures and video that I’ll turn into a post later. Thanks for helping me find my way around the circuuit showing me all the good vantage points!

I live somewhere roughly behind that bush on the right

I’ve done lots of boring stuff today… so my highlight thus far is a minor one. I like to do the freeby NYT word puzzles, one of them is where you have to make words out of letters in a square… I beat the challenge by two words, but I put the last one in as a joke… and chuckled to myself when it came through!!!

Told you it was a boring day!

…finding out we were there from the beginning (almost) on Bluesky.

I presume that’s a good thing? Well done fella (and contributors)!!!

I use Bluesky to widen awareness of the forum. It was invitation only in the early days but I blagged a ticket from Charlie Brooker.

Today I have mostly been drying things with the help of a sunny day.

All luggage and camp gear unpacked and drying in conservatory. (Damp tent outside.)

Meanwhile dismantled satnav drying on a sunny windowsill.

The front glass/touchscreen dropped out when I was dismantling it, so obviously not a good waterproof seal. Will use a smear off gasket sealant around the edges when reassembling it, and some epoxy to hold it in place. No idea if it’d going to work again, but I’ve given all connectors a good clean too.

Am reluctant to buy new one as the model is 6 years old and knowing my luck, TomTom will then bring out a new model and end support for old one.

Painting the stairs.

Then I treated mesell to a chippy tea and a 100 miles tour of the back roads.

This is Cullen home of the soup.

I am unwilling to talk about the price of the Diet Coke.

A lovely warm sunny day today. I had planned to revisit the obscure bit of Cumbria to the north of Longtown and Brampton, but when it came to it, I just couldn’t be arsed with facing the boring bit of busy A75 between Dumfries and Gretna today, so I turned west and just had an easy 70 mile potter around some familiar Galloway back roads. (All places which I’ve already posted photos of, so I won’t bore you with more.) A very enjoyable run, but does anyone else feel knackered after a ride on a hot day, but OK in cooler weather? Or is it just anno domini?

That’s a lot of rockers… I have a crybaby with a fuzz-wah switch on it somewhere, but I have to any pretense of playing lead a long time ago, so it never gets used.

My only chance at a bit of lead is the odd fingerpicking song when we feel like a quiet moment, so my only pedal is a Mooer Green Mile to add a little crunch to my rhythm guitar parts!
