It’s still not quite my gig rig yet… but it’s getting there

I’m now sold to numeric effects. The Line 6 HX is a wonderfull machine. Even disto are usable.
Still have a TC Nova with a Magnus Disto in front as “spare rig”.

Today I’ve been following Mrs Mouse’s European adventures. She’s travelling by train and doing the cultural exploration of historic buildings, museums and art galleries. In a couple of hours she’ll be whizzing by within a mile of @Hubaxe on her Paris to Turin train. Strange how things work out.

Being a spectator to other people’s European adventures is more stressful than being on one yourself! First Mrs Mouses was rushing to find out which platform her train was changed to at last minute, now after a bit of travelling the train has been stationary for over an hour due to some fault with the train with no sign what might be going on. She already knew that to get across a section of the Alps there would be a bus replacement service due to landslide earlier in the year that shut the rail line. When on original schedule she would be turning up at hotel at 10pm :face_with_peeking_eye:

That’d be the A13…

Yes the Paris Turin pass via Aix-Les-Bains

Thinking about next year’s trips… I’d like to actually do the Irish trip in May, hoping @Wessa and @Andyc1 might join.

The mrs. and I are likely going biking in the Vercors, France in June.

I’m also contemplating circumnavigating the Baltic solo late August…

Today I have mostly been in shock after looking at credit card statement from recent Europe trip and paying for a replacement satnav.

Also ordered some new and more expensive waterproof over trousers which seem to have extra height and length so hopefully next time I get less water ingress. (Also found in my box of kit some waterproof boot covers that I bought a year or two ago, which should similarly come in useful for the torrential days.)

I followed Ryan on F9’s tip and got some big Frog Togs. When you know you’re in for a deluge or a long time in rain. Chuck them over your waterproofs. They’re light pack small and cheap… extends the life of older waterproofs which are ok for light rain or showers.

Our house is one of several with a private water supply from a sunken concrete tank up on the hill, which is fed from a small burn. I spent the morning up there helping a neighbour replace the old lead outlet filter with a plastic one. A muddy job!
