That’s my restored Record No.35 behind it. A rather large (I can hardly lift it) vice given to me from a garage full of rust

It’s a Woden all steel 190/8A with 6 inch jaws - cor…

…a right bollox to get to bits. But managed to get the jaws off - all threads are Whitworth - and only one bolt sheared. Lots of cleaning etc etc to do now. God knows where I’ll put it. I suppose one can’t have too many vices :neutral_face:

Mostly finishing off the Woden vice. Weighs in at 75lbs! Bloody great big thing it is.

Some nice new bolts to hold the jaws. They came up pretty well. (It does have a quick release, just not on in the photo below)

I like the patina but I’m probably not going to keep it so maybe a splash of specially mixed hammerite.
