Today I have mostly been depressed due to the sh@te weather. Cold and damp… So I prepared a brine to cure a brisket. It’ll sit in that for 7 days, will then be taken out and smoked for 11 hours at which point it will have transformed into pastrami to be served on a sandwich whilst watching the F1 Sunday next week with my mates…
You clever bugger you… sounds delicious
Confined indoors… snow and sleet. Horrible. So I decided to make sausages . Overfilled the casings a bit so I had some bursting whilst linking (which needs practice) but quite happy with the result. Drying now, will be smoked tomorrow…
Awesome If I leave now I can be there just as you serve them up!
Seasoned like Cumberland sausages (can’t call them that obviously…)
I bet they’re crackers
No, they’re sausages…
Smoked my sausages… I had to improvise a smoking rack - smoked them for 1,5 hrs. Bad picture, delicious sausages!
Do you deliver?
… then I’ll have liverwurst please!!!
Today I am mostly creeping back into the forum after a long absence should I still be allowed in . I have a lot of catching up to do…
Welcome back. We’ve missed you. Don’t let it happen again.
Yes, welcome back.
Today, I looked at all the condensation that had formed on my bike due to the sudden increase in outside temperature/increase in humidity and wished I’d put it in my vac-bag last week. At least I gave it a good spray with FS365 a couple of weeks ago.
Note to self…
This is a vehicle that’s designed to be ridden on the road in all weather’s and all manner of road surface is it not?
TBH… the last few weeks I’ve had, been busy with all kinds of bollox, the only time I’ve seen my bike is walking past it guiltily to the freezer
Oh well at least I’m not alone, bloody things were dripping water with a damp patch below them. It’s annoying, I ride them, clean them, store them in a garage to protect them from weather and it still finds them (even my tins of stuff had condensation all over them). Checked again this morning and all is well again. I had the rear window open and the garage door yesterday in the gales and that seemed to help!
I can never decide if I should leave the small window open or not over winter as we also store our tatties from the allotment in there over winter.
Same here, lifted the dust covers on them to get some circulation.
It’s only water.
Condensation is the bane of my life in my garage. Now I’m down to just one bike my vacsac’s are redundant as I’m keeping the Tiger on the road through the winter.
Had it treated with ACF50 in October, so I don’t think a bit of water is going to cause any problems.
It is, it’s also designed to do over 140 mph, but I don’t do that either🤣
