The last twelve months since I decided to retire have flown by so the final 15 weeks will soon flash past
They will. And the fact that you have made the decision will mean that part of the job stress has already gone. The last few weeks are going to be a lot easier….and that is a nice thing !
No work stress now only battling with obstinate racist aging parents
Distance is your friend…
Inside … -12C to -15C outside.
Snowing first thing, then turned to sleet. Unfortunately had to leave the fireside and head off to do a cottage changeover. All set to leave, then noticed that the van’s back tyre was flat. Bstrd! Nothing for it but to get the waterproofs on and grovel under the back of the van in the cold sleet to extract the spare wheel. What a joyful start to the day.
Don’t know about the snow/ice situation about Birmingham. My daughter is due to pass her driving test today there.
Good luck to her, if it helps we are about 60 miles south and all the snow has melted due to the amount of rain last night
We’re about 100 miles north of Birmingham and there’s 7 inches of snow outside.
We have had a couple of inches of snow in Cheshire. Nothing to serious though it is cold.
Beware around Solihul ! not about the snow, my daughter passed her driving test succesfully !
Congratulation to her @Hubaxe. A very good effort considering the conditions she would have faced.
Thanks for her. She posted that on her Instagram . On the picture she was something like 10 years old, and already had that very determined behaviour
About the weather condition, she choose to live over there, so
Brilliant @DCS222
Travelling to Weston super mud and back to see the MIL in her care home. We got there to find she’d gone on a trip for coffee and cakes at a local church as SWMBO didn’t think to ring up before we set off , so rather than escaping at lunch time I had to go back afterwards so faced the trip back up the M5 late afternoon and into the rush hour which is never a good idea.
Who said you can’t see the sea at Weston… better than the trip to Cornwall though as it’s less than half the distance and I only get to see the MIL for a few hours at a time, rather than a few days
…digging the car out of the snow. Two hours.
