Dealing with the ongoing saga of my poorly parents and their care, then got a message from my regular biking buddy saying he can’t drive for 6 months after passing out over the weekend

Thanks all. Wouldn’t be so bad but they fight my wife and I at every turn by refusing to accept help, saying they are managing, then the slightest problem, they ring us in a panic.
Never been really close either, especially my dad, which makes it tougher.
