Visiting the dealer to see if they could find out why my Tiger sometimes refused to immediately start when pressing the starter switch. I had this issue on about a dozen occasions on my latest trip, and can tell you it’s a tad disconcerting when your bike does not want to start when stopped somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Lapland with no cell reception.
Apparently the battery in the key fob was low, which could have prompted this. Fresh battery in, hopefully sorted now.
All this electrickery on these bikes is great, until it isn’t…

Why do those bikes have a TFT that doesn’t warn about a low battery in the key? It’s the case on cars.

Today I’m heavily listening Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and John Denver.. why?
Because yesterday morning a fellow musician I played with years ago called me for a paid gig tomorrow with his old fashion country rock band. The bass player can’t make it.
Hopefully most of the songs don’t have more that 3 chords. My first paid gig as a bass player

Hope it goes well.

I do hope it went well! I’m no musician but I’d have thought that music from the genre(s) & artistes you mentioned aren’t exactly … complicated, bass line wise?

Just ask 'em not to go full ‘LYNOTT/THIN LIZZY’!!

And now, for an encore… Hit me with your rhythm stick by Ian Dury and the Blockheads! :joy:

Whathever the kind of music, I m always enjoying to play. As a guitar player I played a lot of rock and metal, I have a degree in jazz, and now have a funk band
On the bass I m digging into old funk stuff with Larry Graham of Bootsie Collins and all those bass pioneers
Still happy at 55 to be so excited to learn new things

Wish I could come and watch mate… it makes so much difference when the players enjoy their music

If @hubaxe is as good on his guitar as his son is on drums it’t worth going…

Filling a skip with rubble, phew…bloody knackered now…

…and finishing off the inside of a birthday card for Granddaughter Jess. Happy Birthday Jess.
We buy birthday cards with blank insides and I try to paint something inside for them for fun.
All together now…“happy birday to you…” :slightly_smiling_face:
