Today I have mostly been

Saturday, son’s band “Dirty Monster Attack” played in a main rock concert venue from the area. Their stage decorum is about traffic signs… so.. with my good friend who is also the father of the guitar player …

I think that could be the reason why your feet don’t fit then, all that extra skin between your toes?

Looks like we had a music weekend. My grandsons band Contemporary Nightmare headlined at the Delamere Street Dog, which is local music venue in my area.

Made a start clearing out the MiL"s garage this morning. Don’t think she’s thrown anything away since decimalisation.
Then a bit of painting around the house after lunch before nipping out on gravel bike for an hour.
Lovely views from Birkrigg common. Just to prove to @Oldskool the Lakes aren’t always wet

Back form a 4 days trip to UK.
A lot of car driving 1100 km on Friday (my place to Northampton).
If the Tiger beared rider that stayed at the Mariott is on the forum, I was to shy to bother you.
Saturday wedding party in a Coventry Irish Pub.
Traditional Sunday roast with my daughter’s parents in law around Rugby-Dunchurch (I can recommend the Huntsman in Dunchurch). Very nice area, much nicer than Coventry (less bombed for sure).
Monday driving home through Evreux to drop my wife for a new working week there.
Something like 2700 km, and a lot of fun.

I know we have a good bunch of fellow guitar/bass player there, so let’s me share one of the most exciting piece of gear I acquired to treat myself for my recent birthday.
No valve/tube amp, no new guitar or bass.. but this:

A Spark Mini (there the Steve Vai version, but it’s only because there was a deal on that model for a couple of days).
It’s basically a bluetooth speaker with an instrument input. An app can make you load amps, effects, setups, you can play a backtrack at the same time (buletooth), and its battery powered. Works and sound very well and it works also with a bass.
I found the perfect music working partner. This little amp will make me play much more. Love it.
I need to try to usb record with (there is an audio interface built in).
It won’t replace my big valve/tube amps + pedalboard on stage, that’s not meant to. But it will help a lot to work my music everyday.

Barclays have just reduced my savings interest again and I’m concerned that Greedy Reeves is eying up our bank accounts and considering a raid on pensions in November. So I have made an appointment to ride a demo 1200 GT PRO next week…900 GT PRO for sale?..

Yes I think Reeves is on a pensioner raid

Speaking to a friend yesterday I haven’t seen for a few few weeks. He owns a small business and had been invited (with others) to Number 11. He was quite taken by Rachel Reeves as a person away from the media spotlight. Very likeable and down-to-earth, apparently.

I was speaking to a garage owner a few days ago - he mentioned increased NI, spiralling energy costs and increasing prices for parts, but still having to be competitive with other repair shops, and seemed quite worried for his business.

Presumably the other repair shops are in a similar position. Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea to make the core purpose of the energy companies that of making money.
