What have you done to your non Triumph today

Same with my Sprint ST 1050, I lose coolant without any drop. I think the radiator cap is involved. Not a big issue so far I check and refill time to time.

I would suspect the water pump seals may have gone.

Good times at Glasgow Bike Night yesterday - plenty of chat and the punk rock band were ripping it up! I wish the crowd had shown their appreciation a bit more…

By a funny coincidence, I was parked right in front of the West Coast’s Triumph stand… on my new Honda!!

Back again next month - 31st July 6-8pm.

I confess to not trying very hard to sell…

I emphasise with you @DCS222 . I’m currently in a similar position with my knee situation. I did have a try yesterday after nearly a month of the bike. Whilst getting on was ok’ish and when moving I was ok, when I got off I had a problem.

I’m not sure I will be going on it again for a while, which is killing me.

Fingers crossed for Steve :crossed_fingers:

Today morning, I’ve been to the upholstery guy I used to work with for my bikes.
Asked him about redo the Honda seats to add confort for planned long rides.
Unfortunately for us that guy is very good at his job, and can’t take my saddles before September. He was currently doing a Ferrari leather dashboard.
So I ordered at the Honda dealer the Honda Confort saddles for 215 eur.
Probably will have the original saddles rebuilt in September and will resell the confort saddles later.

Sounds like a good plan.

It’s a temporary freeze on biking. New knees, a spray of WD40 time to time and go :slightly_smiling_face: My old man had his 2 knees “replaced” and lived 20 years like a young boy, traveling, dancing, driving..

Helmut and I went to the ABR on Friday at Ragley Hall on our Ducatis, returning today, with some friends. All seven of us managed to get our tents in the same place, with a gazebo in the middle which was a nice “base camp” area for us.

It was an absolutely cracking weekend - gorgeous hot, dry weather, great atmosphere and bands, lots of stalls and lots of things to see and do. I did an on road test ride of the new Honda Hornet SP - it’s a fantastic machine, sounds great, handles so well and is effortless to ride. There is absolutely nothing to not like about it and as we came back in from the ride I was thinking that I’d like to stay out on it all day…keeping a clean driving license would be a challenge with that bike though, it eggs you on. It’s a huge amount of bike for the money and I like the looks. My Striple still trumps it for character and handling in my book…the Hornet is almost TOO faultless to ride…but it would be a strong contender should I ever be without a Street Triple (zero plans for that to be the case!).

The highlight was today - my very first trail ride on a RE Himalayan…well I LOVED it once I had totally relaxed and got used to the bike moving around underneath me, what a blast!! I even overtook some slower folk !. I think off road riding definitely warrants some further exploration by me .

Try either the Triumph or BMW off road skills days. I did the Triumph one back in 2015 when it was by Eastnor Castle and really enjoyed it. The only problem then is actually finding somewhere to ride as there’s now only 1 BOAT in Worcestershire now that I know of as the county council have closed the rest, so it would mean travelling to Wales

Sweet Lamb in Wales looks pretty good. I fancy a smaller bike to use rather than a large adventure bike, although will give most things a whirl!

I started on a smaller bike then we quickly went to a Trumpet 800XCX once he was confident I could handle it off road. At the time I was still riding my MTB in the Wyre Forest so having a bike move underneath me wasn’t a problem which most road only bikers seem to struggle with at the beginning, so if you’re already fine with that you’re already ahead of the curve

I have spent a fair bit of time on mountain bikes, which did seem to help - albeit a long time ago before I moved to riding pushbikes on the road almost exclusively.
