A nice ride along the River Lek.

Hit a nice mile (well, Kilometre ) stone en route:

Hitting an actual milestone could be very painful.

Today I’ve had a satisfying day’s riding

Lovely run to the Super Sausage this morning .
Very quiet up there, no surprise as it’s mid week I guess.
Then came home and thought I’d fire up the MV as it’s not been ridden all year …
It started and then decided to leak petrol
All over the conservatory floor ….!

Have Triumph bought MV?

But it’s so beautiful you can forgive it I am sure .

It started out with a Triumph ….!
The 1050 RS is amazing …
Just love it …!

Fickle Italian thing has been banished to the garden whilst smug Triumph basks inside …
The red one stinks of petrol…
And I’ve come to the conclusion that Petrol smells better that it tastes…!

I don’t think I’d be firing up that wood burner for a while….

On the positive side, I have found a way to get rid of the taste of petrol…!
I said to Mrs O before dinner: No candles tonight please …!

Is that not the same thing with a posh name!

Think I prefer the petrol TBH…

What a difference a week makes. Six days ago I was riding in jeans, t-shirt, and a leather jacket with zips cracked open for cooling. Today was 12°C cooler so I was cleaning said attire and moving it to upstairs storage to await another year.

For today’s ride I was in my winter kit with thermal liners and thick socks. However I soon realised I wasn’t fully kitted up as I’d forgotten a scarf to stop those neck drafts and to provide an extra layer in the chest area. I was also getting a cold eyeballs from the wind blowing up into my helmet as I had removed the chin curtain for summer.

Still, good to be out for a few hours, even if the sun couldn’t quite fully break through the thin cloud layer.

Went out with my mate on his new to him tiger 850 and me on the 660. By it was cold, only 4c when we set out, it did warm up to around 10c by the time we got home. I had my winter gloves on for the first time with liners in both my pants and jacket. :slightly_smiling_face:

You had liners in your underpants?

Read jeans for pants :slightly_smiling_face:

Switched the heated grips on today for the first time since last winter

Nice day, so took Tigger for a spin. A bit nippy, so switched on heated grips and seat. Nice to be out.
