What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Having had the tiger ACF50 treatment a month ago I hadn’t cleaned the bike and it was as filthy. I had planned to leave for a few months before cleaning it. But today I gave in, I could not bear to see it so dirty and gave it a throughly good clean. Once done I felt so much better. :slightly_smiling_face:

Another day of clear blue skies (at least to start), this time I had toasty toes as I wore my heated socks.

It clouded over around mid-day by which time I was looking for a cafe to buy lunch, having eaten my normal lunchtime pasty for breakfast due to a bread-maker programming failure scuppering my original breakfast plans. Ended up at a cafe I’ve been to before but this time got short changed on the sausage front (yet another retailer skimping on ingredients to save money? :imp: )

I decided to take a scenic route home anyway even though the sun had gone, then as I was passing made a last minute decision to pop by and visit some family. Ended up riding home in the dark

This is how I felt with my old T100.
Lasted about two weeks before I had to wash it

Looks like a lovely day down there, with sunshine and clean dry roads. Up here it’s been p*shing down with rain for days, with hardly a glimpse of sun, and the roads are running with water and covered with wet leaves. Grrr.

Scotland and Cumbria share many similarities

The photo it deceptive. There’s lots of damp, muddy and mushy leafed roads anywhere there’s shade under trees and beside hedges. and this time of year with the low sun there’s plenty of that shade. There were many of times I was ‘tip-toeing’ around corners because of what I could see on the road, or what I was anticipating. But overall, lots more good bits than bad.

Today it was Tigger’s turn. A bit nippy, al lot of leaves on the roads, but hey ho, dry at least. Nice to be out for a bit.

Dankjewel Adie! :grinning:

After Wednesdays ride on ‘dry clean roads’ I thought I’d still give the bike a little clean today.

Back end was as dirty as front.

Told you @Dave49 my photo on Wednesday was a bit misleading.

I took advantage of a lovely sunny afternoon for a ride through Thetford Forest on the Tiger. It was cool, but dry and sunny :sunglasses:

The colours through the forest are fabulous this time of year - I didn’t stop for photos but here’s a screen grab from the GoPro.

At this time of year, even by early afternoon the sun is really low in the sky but I recently purchased my first adventure helmet to celebrate the Tigers first birthday

The peak has actually proved very useful for acting as a sun visor - it makes a big difference.

I’m over at " the van" as it’s become known so only 25 minutes away from Windermere (the town).

Blue skies and sunshine, even though the roads are subject to running water off the hills. Kirkstone Pass in the clouds and Ullswater, then breakfast at the Filling Station Cafe near Keswick.

One very dirty Street Triple - no Transalp, which would have been the more sensible option, as it’s already gone over 600 miles and this trip will be about 300.

I had my (first… :flushed:) wedding reception on the Ullswater steamer “Raven”. Gorgeous evening on a mirrorlike lake.
Been over Kirkstone many times…

Rode 30 miles each way to enjoy a double sausage baguette at the Original Tea Hut in Epping Forest, to find to my horror that they only take cash. A kind soul in the queue stood me a cup of coffee, but by the time I’d ridden back into Epping town I thought “f*ck it” and had a toasted sandwich in Starbucks instead :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

It’s very convenient using card or phone payments but I always have a tenner on me just in case this happens :sunglasses:
