What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

I gave my intact Triumph a frustrated look today… :joy:

I often try it one day at a time when the weather’s nice. It’s the ‘anymore’ bit I keep struggling with

Revs n’ Relics was shut so we carried on for lunch at the Green Hut Cafe. Lovely weather. Really warm when the sun makes an appearance. Sprint GT cruising nicely.

Predictably the weather is shite again here …! But it should be expected as it’s a Bank Holiday…!

I had a run out on the Thruxton with a couple of mates today. Rode out through Staffordshire, Derbyshire and back into Cheshire mainly out through the Peak District. Stopped for a coffee at the Cat and Fiddle, can’t believe it was closed for the Bank Holiday :slightly_frowning_face:

So rode home and had a couple of pints in our local.

Addendum: Slight hitch with one of the bikes on the way home. Not mine. And the heavens opened!

It’s only flat at the bottom, though.

Today I took the Nightstorm down sarf for work this week as the weather looked ok, albeit with the possibility of a few showers later on.
Stopped at the Oily Rag Co on the way down.

Carried on and stopped at Choppers cafe near Burbage, didn’t take any photos as they were miserable, had stopped serving food and refused to let one guy use the bathroom as they were closed (with the door still open). I managed to get a very ropey coffee before they pushed us outside, paid for another guys coffee as well because you had to spend £5 to pay by card and he didn’t have cash, drank half of mine and then gave a third biker the rest as he turned up 30 seconds too late. Definitely won’t be going back.

As I left the heavens opened and dumped an entire reservoirs worth of water on me. There was not a single item of clothing I was wearing that remained dry, I mean nothing. Arrived at my destination completely drenched and freezing cold, a few showers my arse.

Bike is now wiped down and hopefully I will find a building or garage to store it in for the rest of the week, for now it is below a skybridge between two buildings so a bit like an open garage.

And I hope you had your Ring RTC4000 Cordless Tyre Inflator with you? :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s what I said!

Actually I had to go home and get it. A nice chap on a Triumph (naturally) was there when I got back. He had a puncture repair kit on his bike as he’d been preparing for a trip to Norway next week. We plugged the hole but I think the the bead wasn’t on the rim as air was still escaping.

Looks like a tubed tyre :scream:

Yes, I think you may well be right. I’ll double-check tomorrow.

Run over Kirkstone Pass, accompanied by two very low jets! Over to Alston, now sat in a cafe in Barnard Castle waiting for a full breakfast. Pre retirement is tough

About 165 miles in decent weather :grinning:

I tend to agree, as long as you stay away from the tourist traps…

A bit more overcast today than at the weekend, but still dry and mild, so I’m not complaining! Out and about for a couple of hours on the Tiger.

I stopped off at my local Triumph dealer to pick up a t-shirt and baseball cap I ‘won’ for responding to a customer satisfaction survey following my bike service a few weeks ago. While in the showroom I was looking over a 2024 Tiger 900 GT Pro. Nice bike. It was white, but a sparkly metallic white rather than the usual plain gloss white - very nice.

Anything in Carnival Red there? For some reason I love that colour… :joy:
