Excellent… can’t beat a bit of orange
May thanks @AdieP I appreciate the offer.
With the mrs’ new air vest being worn over her jacket, and it not having pockets for obvious reasons, I got her an Sw-motech micro tankbag for her to carry her phone and other bits and bobs. Got a tank ring for the Speed Triple as well, so I can swap my micro over from Tiger to S3 and vice versa.
I’ve often dwelled on a sw motech as I’ve a sw tank horseshoe that came on’t bike but never used it……
Good kit, methinks…
A post was split to a new topic: New Speed Triple owner
The weather was basically wet all last week and the forecast for this week is rain every day. I wouldn’t normally go out on a bank holiday on the bike (too many idiots about) but as todays rain isn’t forecast until this afternoon I thought I should take advantage of this mornings dry interlude!
I recently discovered that if I set the screen on the Tiger in its lowest position the wind buffeting is much better, in this position I get virtually no buffeting at all. Previously I had always run it in the highest position assuming that is best. I was wrong!
Today I spent half the morning grovelling on a carpark floor in the pouring rain fitting a new brain to my lobotomised Triumph. After which I had a 90 minute drive home with wet trousers that soaked through to my pants, yuk. I’m definitely feeling the effects of a weeks worth of stress and sleep deprivation
Fortunately the new ECU was reporting a voltage of 12.4V where the old was was showing 6V. So hopefully that really is the problem fixed and when the dealers program it tomorrow I’ll be getting a phone call to say I come collect a working bike
Edit: Just had the phone call, they’ve programmed the ECU and the bike starts!!! Will get train tomorrow and go pick it up.
Excellent news! Glad you’ve got it sorted in time.
Fantastic!!
Brilliant. Well done!
Top work😀 Now go and enjoy a well deserved trip.
That is brilliant news!
Assuming the ride home tomorrow is uneventful, I may yet be in Holland on Saturday (That’s where ferry lands).
Rotterdam or IJmuiden?
Rotterdam, (well ‘Hook of Holland’)
This explains the dancing .
Great news and fingers crossed it all runs as it should …
I think you said this was your first riding trip abroad?
If I could offer you one thought that I always use when abroad, I always tell myself ( like a mantra) “ DRIVE ON THE RIGHT” .
It is so easy to get distracted and revert back to your normal position .
Have a brilliant time !!
