Today 5 mates and myself went on a run along the dykes of the “Big River Area”. 3 Harleys, 1 Beemer and a 30 year old Honda Shadow. 4 little ferries en route, all in all great fun.

Took a 300 mile round trip to Exeter to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary with them. Not an exciting ride but always nice to give the Nightstorm a run out

We had proper mayo, but that was still on the table…

And if you look closely, one of your mates on the extreme left of the photo is dunking his chips in your beer…..

Fortunately that’s neither me, or my beer - strictly no alcohol for me when riding a bike… the coke is mine…

Salt an vinegar to go on those chips! Next time I’m that way I’m going to make sure I pack some emergency malt vinegar.

I have already bought a travel kettle for my touring luggage as that is another omission I found on my continental tours last year. :hot_beverage:

Did another heat cycle on this after standing over the winter. I can’t remember how many I did last year so just let it growl at around 1200rpm (farts and bangs quite a bit cause there’s no choke/enricher) for about a minute.

I’ll give it another cycle tomorrow, let it cool and then take it round the block. Blimey :slightly_smiling_face:

The sun never quite came out as promised today but it stayed warm so I took the opportunity for an early evening run to Runswick Bay.

Nice and quiet at this time of year as most of the houses are second homes and holiday lets.

Thank you both @Vulpes and @DCS222
Hopefully first shake down tomorrow, well this week at least. I’m hoping it’ll be a good one as I’m only the second owner to have ridden it. Then I’ll need to think what to do with it.

I thought that was your keeper..? I’m not near enough my retirement bundle to buy it… :sob:

Let’s have a video at least … just for the sound, if nowt else!

Unfortunately, with my sensible head on, I can’t keep everything as I just don’t have the room.
My keepers are the red Jubilee year T140 Bonny and the S&S Shovel - it will really need to go live and be enjoyed somewhere else so I can use the space for builds.
Mates rates can apply
I don’t think videos can be loaded on here any longer.

I don’t know how you part with them @Iron ??? I understand the why… for more room and trinket tokens, allowing you your next project… but all your work, skill & knowledge poured into such a beautiful machine, and then parting with it…

Nope, found an oil patch this morning, have run up again to temp. Proper compression on the kick, probably needs to be a bit retarded for easier starting, real barkey and a hooligan. Ticks over nicely once warmed up a bit. Looks like the rear pushrod tube is leaking. I wont be able to leave it, it’ll have to come apart, so, head off. LOL.
