FInally managed to get a bike out, running and MOT’d…
… and not before time, right?
Yep the next few days look like really warm biking days.
Unfortunately I have not done anything on the tiger for nearly two weeks, following a trip to A&E a couple of weeks ago. My left knee finally gave up on me. Couldn’t stand on it for a week. Has improved this week, but I’m a bit concerned about it locking when I’m on the bike.
I’m in to see the knee Consultant in a couple of weeks. I’m hopeful to get a replacement scheduled fairly quickly.
So I’m very jealous of all you good people taking advantage of the beautiful weather
I hope you’ll get sorted soon buddy.
Bad timing but bionic knees are good, these days. Hope they get you sorted soon.
Not good. Best wishes for a quick solution Steve
Hope you get it sorted soon mate, shame about the weather though
All the best, Steve. When the conditions are best, Sod’s Law always creates a reason why one can’t go out.
That’s annoying Steve, here’s hoping you get some good news from the consultant when you see them. At least it didn’t happen while you were away on a trip somewhere.
Thanks guys, your all the best
Late to reading this @Wessa but hopefully you’ll be the Bionic Man soon…
Ordered two replacement "M5 well nuts for the screen fixing. £4.50 each…Two tiny little rubber top hats with a threaded insert. I’m in the wrong business…
Next couple of days look too hot and sunny for riding so decided to make use of today’s cloud cover. It was still rather warm, but the perfect temperature once moving.
Did a couple of hours of random roads to get to the Triumph factory cafe for cake.
I popped upstairs to the shop with an eye to supplementing my (literally) threadbare wardrobe with an overpriced Triumph branded T-shirt (£40). Fortunately for me, they didn’t have my size which saved me from having to decide whether to waste money on a very flimsy feeling garment.
Did a different lot of random roads home.
Had a very disorganised ride over Kirkstone Pass to Rheghed, far too much traffic, running water on the road in places and totally without confidence
Plan was to come back via Shap but the road was closed so we were detoured to Orton on roads I have not been on before. Lovely views
The detour sent us on to the A66 heading to Scotch Corner! Turned around at next junction and finished back at the Rheghed roundabout so we cheated and used the M6! Not a classic day out
Think of it as a mystery tour.
Will definitely use those roads again
A post was split to a new topic: Bike and Brew Passport Runabout
I’ve bought lot’s of branded Triumph T shirts over the years - always in a sale so none were overpriced. Quality has definitely declined in yhe last few years
