I didn’t get a test ride in after the new tyre and wheel bearings a few days ago, so as it was dry and unseasonably warm I thought I do that today. Though I soon realised why I normally avoid riding at the weekends, all the traffic! So I only did an hours riding to take shine off tyres. Still, I know all’s fine and can enjoy a midweek ride in a few days

Took the triple out for a blast today, probably only 30 miles or so but it sure was fun. Supercorsas, damp, leaves and muck but still it feels planted. What a well sorted bike

I am envious, I had planned to get out with just a short light shower forecast late morning. Then the wind got up, the sky turned black and the heavens opened for hours 
. I am HOPING with the clocks having gone back to commute on my early shift tomorrow. Should be leaving just before sunrise and getting back just after sunset…fingers crossed the weather plays ball

Took the Thruxton for a blast today. Ran around the Cheshire lanes and a couple of pints in my local. Not sure how many opportunities for the Thruxton this season now. Nearly time for it to go into the vac-sac

Now that’s what I call healthy eating, mushrooms are a no no for me, must be like eating a garden slug, 
not that I’ve ever tried one I might add. Hope the ride was a good one

There are ways of eating snails… there are no good ways of eating slugs.

@885speed I have, and almost threw up, disgusting things. 
I’m getting a bit bored with the usual local routes so today I planned a loop to go further south than I normally get and ended up near Bedford. The forecast sunny intervals were few and far between but it was still nice to be on unfamiliar roads, even if they were damp and a bit muddy from farm traffic. Once heading north again there was a nice spell of sun, and the countryside opened up in Cambridgeshire and the B660 was dry so I could sweep along at the national speed limit without worrying about road conditions
The sun didn’t last but when back in my normal riding area I saw the forecast was promising better weather (it lied), so I plotted a route on satnav to extend my ride. This turned out to be more of an adventure than I planned as I ignored a ‘road closed’ sign and a couple of miles later came across some resurfacing work. This resulted in going ‘off piste’ down a road ‘Unsuitable for Motor Vehicles’ which was muddy and wet-leafy but mercifully short, before turning into a gated road and some other ‘new’ single-track roads I could explore in my home county.

That looks like a lovely sweeping section of road with nice open views. I am hoping against hope that it will be decent weather on Friday when I have a day off work as it’s been so rainy here I haven’t been out this week at all.

I’m always surprised when I am in UK with my colleagues. Office conversations are EVERYDAY 1) weather forecast 2) football
Meanwhile in France we are discussing serious matter, next days off, next strike, etc
