What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

And as far as the bag is concerned I blame @Wessa as he told me about them :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah they do look pink in that light but they’re more of a shitty brown to be honest

Post is getting a bit laggy due to Crimbo but stanchions arrived.

Along with the new old stock yokes everything looks straight

Built up the forks with new seals, (gonna try gaiters on this one)

And got it up on it’s feet. New brake discs new sprocket. Rear wheel needs spacers made up but I’ll sort that once I get the engine in to line up the chain.
Was a bit chilly on the old fingers this morning but warmed up over the day. So might be able to get on with a bit more this week. :slightly_smiling_face:

You should make a video of how you get your bikes into them… must be a bit like changing a duvet cover…?

If you have enough space to put the bag in it’s final position and suspend it with some ties and grips from the rafters of the garage roof it’s like one of those bike tents you can get so is relatively simple to do. I’m awkward because I’ve not got enough room to do that so have to do it in stages, starting with the bag rolled up at the open end of the bag, pushing the bike in, then putting it on the centre stand and then unrolling the bag past the back of the bike. It’s easier doing it to the RS rather than the GS but still needs some planning!

Today I’ve not been bagging my Triumph :smiling_imp:  Rather, as forecast was for 10°C with sunny bits I got out for a few hours riding.

Toes were nice and toasty with new heated socks on low, but I guess it wasn’t actually that cold as I didn’t even need heated grips on. Well, that was until hands got cold when I took gloves off to eat my pasty and take a photo

It was also 10 degrees and dry in my part of the world, so I managed to get out and about on the 400 Scrambler this morning. I had a spot in mind that I was going to stop and take a picture but when I got there it was such a muddy mess that I didn’t bother!

Back wheel trig, geometry and calculus have all seemed to work out ok. Phew.

Is half of it English and half of it metric?

I like to keep my brain active  an inch would’ve done but I would have needed another ruler :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s the blue button on your vernier’s.
(Surprised you’re using one of those new fangled digitals )

My stepdaughter has joined us for Christmas, and although she didn’t ride up on her Tiger, she did bring her bike gear along.

Had a short trip to Helmsley today with her on the Transalp and me on the Street Triple. Stopped at Rievaulx Abbey on the way back - strange having both your bikes out together!

Nice one Steve. Bet she enjoyed the translap

Today Helmut on his Multistrada and me on my Striple went with a friend on her Suzuki GSX-8R to The Piston Club which was a 107 mile round trip. It was a lovely ride and stop for coffee but the roads were FILTHY :grimacing:.

Luckily, she and her husband had their pressure washer all ready at their business unit for when we got back…

That would make a good Christmas card :slightly_smiling_face:

Me and my neighbour went for a short blast today. Very warm at 14c which made for a very pleasant ride.

We’ve had thick fog all day here, pleased it was better for you. I was at work, so not as bothered by the fog than I would have been if I had been off and wanting to get on a bike!!
